Kann nicht entzippen und zip Firefox addon

Question

Ich versuche, einige Änderungen an einem alten Firefox Addon von mir zu machen (verfügbar here). Das .xpi-Paket funktioniert dort. Aber wenn ich es einfach entzippen und neu komprimiere, wird es immer noch installiert, aber das Kontextmenü-Element, das das Addon einfügen soll, ist nicht hier. Was in aller Welt könnte ich falsch machen?

Sie müssen auch Unterverzeichnisse komprimieren: zip -r chrome.zip *.
